Q-How has yoga impacted your life, both on and off the mat?
A-Yoga has become so much more than a physical practice for me, it has been a catalyst for transformation and has deepened my spiritual practice. When I rediscovered yoga, I was already committed to creating a better life for myself. Through each practice, I learned that lasting change happens one breath, one movement, and one choice at a time. Alongside yoga, I embraced positive affirmations and began replacing doubt with possibility. Every new achievement became proof that I was capable of more than I had imagined. The time I spend on my mat is sacred. Through breath, movement, and gratitude, I reconnect with myself, strengthen my faith in the universe, and cultivate a deeper sense of peace and purpose.
Today, yoga is part of who I am. It has taught me resilience, self-belief, and gratitude while reminding me that with intention and consistent practice, there is no limit to what I can achieve.
Q-Tell us about a memorable experience or teacher who’s inspired you.
A-One of my most memorable moments at Sukha was during Megan’s New Moon event. I allowed myself to be completely vulnerable, and instead of feeling judged, I felt surrounded by love, acceptance, and unwavering support. It was a powerful reminder that I didn’t have to have it all together to belong. Being surrounded by so many strong, inspiring women is one of the things that makes Sukha so special. Watching each woman grow, while also being encouraged on my own journey, has been an incredible gift. The community at Sukha is unlike any other, and it’s a place I hope to call home for many years to come.
Q-What’s your favorite class or style of yoga to practice?
A-I love all of the yoga classes, and it's the balance between them that keeps me coming back. But Flow is my favorite because it reminds me that my body is capable of more than I once believed. Every class challenges me to try new movements, and if I don't get a pose the first time, I simply keep practicing.
When the class gets tough, I remind myself how I'll feel at the end, the sweat, the adrenaline, and the incredible sense of accomplishment. That feeling makes every challenge worth it and reminds me that growth comes from showing up and trying again.
