What advice would you give someone who is new to yoga or considering starting a practice?

Yoga isn’t about being flexible or doing every pose perfectly… It's about connecting with your body and breath. Start where you are, not where you think you should be. Take things slow, listen to your body’s limits, and focus on how you feel rather than how you look in a pose. Consistency matters more than perfection!

Are there any specific teachers, resources, or books that have influenced your yoga journey?

Every single teacher I’ve practiced with has been amazing and inspiring in their own way. I love how each brings their own unique energy and teaching style to class. There are too many things to list, but I’m especially grateful for Linda’s soft, calming voice, Amber’s encouragement and peaceful presence, Megan’s thoughtful quotes and intentional playlists, and Page’s way of seamlessly integrating mindfulness and movement.

How do you incorporate mindfulness and yoga principles into your daily routine?

I try to bring the mindfulness I practice on my mat into everyday life by starting my mornings with a few minutes of meditation or breathwork. Throughout the day, I pay attention to my posture, my breath, and how I respond to stress, while also taking little moments of gratitude!

What initially drew you to yoga and how has your practice evolved since then?

I started practicing yoga 8 years ago because I wanted to add it to my workout routine to increase flexibility/strength, and improve balance/posture. Over time, it’s become so much more than that. Yoga has given me a way to connect with an amazing community, and my practice has naturally evolved to support me throughout different seasons of my life.
